サグラダ・ファミリア問題 The Sagrada Familia problem

サグラダ・ファミリアについて、報道などで、なにか言っているような気がしますが、なんのことだかわからないでしょう？だから問題があるとかはスルーしますよね？ずっと作っているらしいということはわかりますよね？

I feel like I've heard something about the Sagrada Familia in the news and such, but I don't really understand what it's about, right? So I just ignore the parts about it being a problem, don't I? I do understand that it's apparently been under construction for a long time, though, right?

あれについての自分なりの推測です。

彼らは何がいいたいのか？

それは、宮殿などの大掛かりな建築物の建造に携わる労働者についてです。

彼らは完成したら職がなくなるのです。その後の保証は？

This is my own speculation about that.

What are they trying to say?

It's about the workers involved in the construction of large-scale buildings like palaces.

Once they're finished, they'll be out of a job. What about their security afterward?

おそらく、古代から続く、我々人類の不朽の命題です。

大きい宮殿を建築する計画を建てる。それは雇用にもなります。雇用は庶民の生活費を支える。いいことです。しかし、完成したら職を失う。生活費を稼ぐ方法がなくなった庶民は、生活苦になります。彼らは飢える。

ですから、完成した後の生活の保証についても、計画に入れておかければならない。サグラダ・ファミリアは、それをいいたいのであろうと考えます。

This is probably an enduring question for humanity, one that has persisted since ancient times.

Planning to build a large palace creates employment. Employment supports the living expenses of ordinary people. That's a good thing. However, once it's completed, people lose their jobs. With no way to earn a living, ordinary people face hardship. They starve.

Therefore, the plan must also include guaranteeing their livelihoods after completion. I believe this is what the Sagrada Familia is trying to convey.

自分なりの解決策の提示をします。

彼らに対して副業を認める。週に2回は、建築。週に3回は、レストラン。

それを認める。宮殿が完成したら、彼らはレストランで働けばいい。

うーん・・・

農地を与えるとかもいいかなあ・・・

しかし、農業に対して慣れていないと、彼らは苦労するでしょう。やはり先に彼らに対して副業を認めておきましょう。そして、建築が完成したら、彼らは副業の方を本業にすればいい。それなら彼らの生活の切り替えもスムーズです。

I'll offer my own solution.

Allow them to have a side job. Two days a week for construction. Three days a week for the restaurant.

Allow that. Once the palace is finished, they can work at the restaurant.

Hmm...

Giving them farmland might be a good idea...

However, they'll struggle if they're not used to farming. I think it's better to allow them a side job first. Then, once the construction is finished, they can make their side job their main job. That way, the transition in their lives will be smoother.
